Among other things, Linda identifies as a person with a disability, a cisgender female, a retired librarian, a Yankee with Canadian roots who now lives in Southern USA with her spouse, Robin and a curious cat, they call Mist or Mystify. She began a general blog in 2005 for the fun of it. She posted random musings and memories for years and eventually she added another blog just about the rare bleeding disorder she was born with, afibrinogenemia.
When Linda was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2017 and subsequently had a liver transplant, most of her blogging slowed almost to a halt but she created this website that includes a blog page and information on her memoir.
Linda admits she reads more than she writes these days, so she can’t promise to post on a regular basis. Here are a few places you can look for her writing:
- Life Lessons: Writings from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The Florida State University
- Chicken Soup for the Soul: O Canada: 101 Heartwarming and Inspiring Stories by and for Canadians
- Persimmon Tree, an online magazine of the arts by women over sixty.
- Linda’s Substack
- My Turn: When Caregiving Roles Reverse
